In the spirit of almost being done ...
Since most of us are wrapping up (or are close to) this academic year, what are some things you wish you could tell someone entering 1L next year? Now, I'm not suggesting things like 'buy a bookstand' or 'make sure you exercise'; I'm talking about random insights you've gained that were helpful. Here are some I've gathered --
-
Leave immediately after every exam and don't discuss it with your classmates.
-
Don't be weird/don't even talk about grades with your classmates.
-
In line with the above, keep your job offers private (unless you're around supportive people).
4 Join a study group and have a friend group, but consider keeping them separate.
- Make friends outside of law school.
These aren't hot takes by any means, but I feel like they're only things you can pick up once you've experienced it. What else???
