I broke up with my gf, and a couple days later I asked to get back together with her. She was very hurt, but I told her that the reason I decided to breakup was because she tried to manipulate me into staying with her by threatening to take her own life. When I called her asking if we could still work things out because our emotions were high that day, she started going on about things like 'my mom doesn't give a fuck about what you say' referring to how I messaged her mom with my concern on her daughter's LIFE. I know, big mistake, I can't be the one to break up and then not expect her to be condescending, even though she emotionally manipulated me.

She also said that I'm trying to victimise myself for telling her best friend that I called the authorities to check up on my gf as well (in my message to her friend I just told her this info just to let her be aware of the situation, didn't think much of it). That day, this girl went radio silent after telling me she tried to strangle herself, but then never once appreciated that I was concerned for her.

Anyway, clearly I'm a dumb bastard because the above conversation happened literally the next day after that call. We agreed on taking a break, but then she violated her own boundaries and got mad at me for not complying. For reference, the messages she deleted she was just saying 'hello, how are you' and 'what did you eat today', I didn't respond straight away as I was playing with my friends.

It made me realise what a fucking mistake it was to get in touch with her again, and how she will always just have tantrums and blame me for everything that happens. This is our second major breakup and I think this is happening because of my own incompetence as well - I kept thinking things were fixable each time I made that decision, and it turns out there's a reason I made that choice in the first place.

AIO that my gf blew up at me for not responding quick?
