Why are there so many moralist arguments against ai usage?

So many people's only argument against using ai made assets is that it "hurts other artists". The only argument they can provide is economic. I have never seen anyone online or irl argue about aesthetic importance or beauty of an art exhibition or how a truly great art piece can feel like a poem, like flowers or like a decayed sky. Anything poetic does not even seem to enter the conversation. If you bring this up, you only get weird looks.

The people hurting economically are never interested in literature or poetry or visual art either. They are interested in furry porn, anime art and instagram poetry. This might be a generalization based on personal experience though. Of course, i do not have the courage to call out any of these people in real life but what do you guys think?
