"Listen, I've been beaten with baseball bats, l've had my throat slashed, l've been kidn*pp*d and exiled out of the country. I've been shot twice, l've been in prison and my son's been st*bbed to d*ath. Amongst all that, I was the welterweight champion of the world while drinking the bar dry and doing enough coke to kill a smal horse every night. My life's not a book. It's a ****** movie script." Eamonn Magee

Eamonn Magee, born on July 13, 1971, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a retired professional boxer known for his exceptional talent in the ring and tumultuous life outside of it.
Magee's boxing journey began in his youth, quickly rising through the amateur ranks. He secured a silver medal at the 1989 World Junior Championships in Puerto Rico and clinched the Irish national light-welterweight titles in 1992 and
1993. Despite his achievements, Magee's path to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics was obstructed due to disciplinary issues, including a prior altercation and a shooting incident involving the IRA, leading to his exclusion from the team.
Turning professional in November 1995, Magee quickly made a name for himself. He won the Commonwealth Light-Welterweight title twice and captured the WBU Welterweight title in December
