I’m a believer. Put my Cremona Ms on Acoustic Isolators
So, TLDR. But, mostly due to my almost psychotic compulsion for “my” best possible music reproduction, I’ve made my first investment into component isolation. I put my SF Cremona Ms on IsoAcoustic feet.
You should know, my room is extremely lively. The floor structure below spans 30’ x 25’ clear. Let’s just say the floor suffers from less than optimal rigidity. That will get fixed someday. Along with acoustic wall and ceiling treatment.
Anyhow, my impression: the Speaker isolation is awesome. I’m experiencing legitimately unexpected improvements.
I played Blue Rondo á la Turk and heard detail I have not experienced previously. I’m also impressed with separation and staging. Right now, I’m listening to Wyatt Flores Welcome to the Plains on vinyl, a well engineered record and certainly much more dynamic. The detail and separation are holding strong.
I am a fan. Next I’ll isolate the TT, then, when the budget allows, the tube components. The isolation at the turn table is expected to produce substantial improvements. (My HVAC produces a significant low frequency rumble and summer is coming.)
