Pool chemistry?

Am I the only one that doesn’t really care too much about pool chemistry? I only focus on the ph and chlorine. If my chlorine is low, I’ll usually shock it and it’ll hold for weeks. I use pucks w cya. If my ph is too high or low I’ll stabilize it as needed. I will admit, this year my cya was off the charts so I did drain and refill like 3 times because my chlorine was locked. Other than that, I’ve always focused on chlorine and ph only. And my pool is crystal clear.
