Sheet music I purchased for class turned out to be a Hal Leonard arrangement
For my final project of my theory class we have to do an analysis on a piece of our choosing, and I chose Vendome by the Modern Jazz Quintet because it's got fugue elements and I thought it would be cool to do a jazz song. Well upon purchasing the sheet music (I need to reference to the score) I discover its a completely different hal leonard arrangement. I expect the improv solo's to be different but the piece completely splits off and does it's own thing by the second episode and cuts out like half of the original song.
Kinda annoyed because idk what to do now, I could try to transpose by ear but its pretty complex jazz harmony and I don't really have time to do that. Can't find an original score anywhere I don't think it exists, and I can't even find a recording of the hal leonard arrangement so it's either score no music or music no score.
