Best and Worst Movie Lines
What are the best, most iconic movie dialogue/lines ever written—ones that are often quoted. Alternatively, what are the worst, strange, and cringe-inducing lines from movies that are pretty good and should have done better? My examples…
BEST:When Jack Nicholson’s character yells “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!” when being cross examined by Tom Cruise’s character in A Few Good Men. When after seeing the shark close up, Roy Schneider’s character backs up into the cabin and says, “You’re gonna need a bigger boat” in Jaws.
WORST: When Noah says to Allie, “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird” in The Notebook and when Edward says to Bella, “Your scent is like a drug to me. You’re like my own personal brand of heroin” in Twilight. (Yes, Twilight! Loved the book and 1st movie so no shade please.)
