Question about champs matchmaking

I’ve only just started dipping my toe in champs this game and was wondering about the way matchmaking work. Do I need to stay for my losses to get counted in my form or can I rage quit when I’m getting cooked. I thought I had read somewhere where rage quits don’t count in your form or maybe I’m just imagining that.
