USG-PRO-4 still good in 2025?

I have a friend getting rid of a USG-PRO-4 that i have available to me. This would be my first piece of Ubiquiti equipment and I'm not 100% exactly on what it will do. I mentioned to a buddy i was looking into getting a firewall for home use (currently have a Verizon gigabit router and there's hardly any firewall options to change) as i want to get some POE cameras and it seems blocking them from internet access in your firewall has been recommended everywhere.

USG Pro 4 appears to be a bit of older tech and was curious if it would be a good starter option and not be outdated/bricked due to its age.
