Update: Ford Expedition Trailer Selection

Thanks again to all who helped on our first thread; after some input we decided to switch to a smaller trailer. The specs on our ‘22 Ford Expedition Max with the Heavy Duty Tow Package:

GCWR - 15500 Tow Capacity - 9000 GVWR - 7720 Payload - 1675

We’ve settled on a 2023 Riverside Intrepid 240bhi:

Dry Weight - 5020 Payload - 2400 Hitch Weight - 420 Length - 27’ total

Wanted to get some opinions on a few things.

  • What WDH would you recommend we use?
  • We’ll be doing a little bit of boondocking at state parks up in Alaska - but nothing more than a few nights. Is it safe to assume the base gear it comes with (two 20lb propane tanks; one battery) will be enough? Recommend solar batteries or anything like that? Generator?
  • light weight levelers?

Anything else we’re not thinking of? Thanks y’all - excited to be apart of this community!
