what does timed material do?

I'm a new player to this game and lowkey grinded out the entire gardening event so I have hard tasks access to me. But I keep seeing "timed material" as a reward, so what do you use it for?

*also how do I get more dewdrops.. I NEED MORE LEAF TOKENS.
