Trying to find car towed/relocated for the marathon

We should've known better...our street-parked car was gone from Spadina near St Clair, around 11:30 am, when we went to get it, with a sign on other car windshields saying "notice of relocation...it was necessary to relocate your vehicle...for a Special Event..." so clearly our car was moved or towed because of the marathon. Now we've been on hold with 416-808-2222 police non-emerg number for over an hour and counting. Does anyone know of of any other means to get info about our car whereabouts? Would visiting a police station work? Thanks for any ideas!
