Bad alternator or charge wire?

Just replaced alt and battery at same time on 2002 sonata 2.4L. Been a few weeks now the car keeps dying while driving like it did the last time. Went through 3 Walmart everstart batteries (all had bad cells) so wouldn’t hold a charge and upgraded to a Duralast gold car ran fine for a week or two now it’s not holding charge. Can’t seem to wrap my head around the issue. Belt shredded off alt and water pump yesterday so I replaced the belt on the side of the road (I’ve been a gear head since I was 10 years old so I know a thing or two) now the cars acting like the alternator isn’t charging the battery anymore. Any tips ?
