Eat for Fuel
I’ve lost 25 lbs very slowly over the course of 6 months. I’ve focused on the root issue which is my relationship with food. As an adult I’m always basing my meals off of what I’m in the mood for and satisfying my cravings (DoorDash and pizza often) Now I eat for fuel and focus on maximizing my protein intake and staying within my calories. Since doing this, I’ve had a consistent and gradual decline with my weight. I’m not in a huge deficit to where I’m starving/mood affected etc. I’m consistent with working out- juijitsu 4x/week. My diet held me back this entire time no matter how much I worked out… you can’t outwork a bad diet. I still enjoy sweets but I buy single portions instead so I’m not tempted to over indulge. This shouldn’t feel like a punishment. Find ways to make it fun and don’t beat yourself up. I’m aiming to hit my goal weight by January (70 more pounds).
