I get annoyed when I watch tv with my in-laws

I’m gonna start this with saying I believe I have the best in-laws ever (technically they’re not my in-laws yet but my fiancé and I are one month away from marrying so why not). They’re both so respectful and very chill. Traditionally in a wedding ( from what I’ve been told) the grooms parents pay for the alcohol but we are having a dry wedding, so my finances parents decided they will help cover our honeymoon. Not just that, my in-laws live in Michigan and I live in Ohio. My fiancé moved to Ohio last year and last month my mom helped plan my bridal shower and my mother in law wasn’t able to come since it was in Ohio. So my mother in law asked she could plan another bridal shower for me for my fiancé’s side of my family and I appreciated it so much. I love my fiancé’s parents and I’m so blessed to have them as my in-laws.

Which is why I feel bad for this minor annoyance. This is something I just push through, I don’t make it big deal, I know it is extremely minor but I feel bad that I find it annoying. This annoyance comes from when we watch tv with my in-laws, one of the latest examples is we watched a compilation of extreme weather events. Almost every single one, they will explain what is going on even though we see clearly what’s going on. A clip shows of what is clearly an earthquake? In-laws will say “that’s an earthquake”. Another clip comes up of a big mudslide and taking a big bridge with it? In-laws will say out loud exactly that. A clip of hail coming down? They will exclaim that that is indeed hail.

Then with other clips that include people such as some walking or skating on a frozen lake, or anything like that, they will always exclaim “Oh he shouldn’t be doing that”, “Oh he’s gonna get hyperthermia”, etc.

This is almost every single video/clip.

I will empathize, overall they are incredible in-laws and I adore them. This is just a little minor annoyance and I guess I just needed a way to let it out. Feel free to tell me why you may think they feel the need to explain or exclaim something on every video like this. Thank you very much for reading.
