Hey guys, I’m 24M Southeast Asian with a brownish skin tone and just started skincare a little over a month ago with the products in the pic. I got the routine from a recommendation and did some research. I saw that these products caused breakouts for some people but they’ve actually worked well for me and my skin has improved.

I recently found out that La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M is often used as a spot treatment not a full-face moisturizer. I’ve been using it as my moisturizer. Should I change that and get a proper moisturizer instead?

Here’s my routine:

**AM Routine:**

* Cleanser (La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel)
* Serum (Melano CC Vitamin C)
* Moisturizer (Effaclar Duo +M currently using it as full-face)
* Sunscreen (Eucerin Oil Control SPF50)

**PM Routine:**

* Cleanser
* Exfoliant (Paula’s Choice 2% BHA – used on Mon, Wed, Fri)
* Serum (used on days when I don’t exfoliate)
* Moisturizer (same Effaclar Duo +M)

**Questions I need help with:**

* Should I stop using Effaclar Duo +M as a moisturizer and switch it to just a spot treatment?
* If yes, any recommendations for a good budget-friendly moisturizer that fits into this routine?
* Is my exfoliation frequency okay (3x/week)? Or should I increase it slowly over time?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Help with my current products and routines please.
