Dynamics CRM Developer at EY – Curious about growth, switching, and SDE roles. Need some guidance!
Hey everyone,
I joined EY around 9 months ago straight out of college, and I’m working as a Dynamics CRM developer. This is my first job, and I’m starting to think about where this career path can lead.
My current skill set includes:
JavaScript development (mainly for PCF components)
Working with PowerApps and Dynamics 365
A basic understanding of C# and .NET
While I’m grateful for the learning so far, I’m trying to figure out the future scope of this profile. I have a few questions and would love to hear from anyone who's been in a similar spot or knows the space:
What’s the growth and demand like in this domain over the next few years?
If I look to switch jobs after gaining 1–1.5 years of experience, what kind of salary hike or roles can I realistically expect?
Is there a path to move into SDE roles (like backend/frontend/web dev)? If yes, what should I focus on learning/building from now?
Really hoping to get some honest inputs or personal experiences. Any advice would mean a lot—thanks in advance!
