Trigger Happy Havoc but the Wheel Decides but I try and make a sensible story out of it.

SpoilerMisc.

I'm keeping the format the same as how the actual game went, with one exception you'll see later.

This ended up being much longer than I intended it to be. Oops.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prologue:

We follow the Ultimate Pop Sensation Sayaka, as she confidently enters the school, knowing she earned her place.

She's quickly knocked out, and meets the others in the entrance hall like normal, she recognizes Makoto from her elementary school, but additionally, she also recognizes Yasuhiro, who she remembers from a certain event where he was taken away from a concert she performed at after people disliked his predictions.

The group learns about the killing game, leaving everyone tense.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 1:

The group is tense around each other, with people avoiding each other, Sayaka attempts to connect with Makoto again, which works as they become quick friends.

Most of the chapter goes the same as usual, with Sayaka quickly befriending Makoto, Yasuhiro and Junko.

The motive stays the same, with everyone being as affected as they are normally, and Mukuro and Junko seeming not as worried as everyone else, though Sayaka runs away in shock, with Makoto running after her to comfort her.

At night, Sayaka grabs a knife from the kitchen, planning to do the same as normal, only for Yasuhiro to spot her, with her collapsing from stress and confiding with him what she saw.

When Sayaka awakens the following morning, she notices that no one's woken up yet, and goes to prepare herself a sandwich, only to find Mukuro's body laying there, with a knife in her chest.

When the group is collected by Monokuma, Junko is devastated by the loss of her sister, and snaps at Monokuma, using her heel to pin it to the floor, only for Monokuma to execute her on the spot for breaking the rules.

The group has to investigate despite this, finding evidence of a struggle, despite Mukuro's body seeming rather peaceful at death.

During the trial, the group struggles to find the culprit, because of a complete lack of evidence, however, Sayaka comes to a disturbing realization.

Sayaka realizes that Mukuro went to the killer herself, and volunteered her life for the culprit to escape, but the culprit refused, with them being rocked around the dining room until Mukuro managed to get her knife to be stuck through her chest by her chosen culprit.

And the person Mukuro wanted to save so much was Makoto Naegi, who was forced to kill Mukuro by her, as she felt he didn't deserve to enter this killing game and had a crush on him.

Makoto confesses easily, and is executed in front of everyone, being squashed flat and tossed like a coin multiple times until he lands heads up.

After the trial, Yasuhiro helps Sayaka come to term with her friend being the killer, as Hifumi's disgusted by their friendship in silence.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 2:

Sayaka is still depressed when the new day starts, though she's quickly brought out of her room by Yasuhiro to explore the new floor.

Sayaka is excited with Aoi at the prospect of the pool, though Chihiro seems nervous, they're encouraged by Sayaka, which doesn't help as much as Sayaka expected.

At lunch that day, Hifumi starts arguing with everyone, pissing everyone off with rampant accusatory remarks.

That same day, Mondo and Taka begin their friendship arc, though they ask Leon to watch over their competition this time, so Sayaka doesn't get to see as much as Makoto did.

When the motive is announced, the group seems nervous, but especially Chihiro.

Sayaka witnesses Chihiro attempt to talk with Mondo about their secret, but Mondo doesn't get that it's important, and tells Chihiro he has plans with Taka.

Noticing Sayaka nearby, Chihiro ends up confessing their secret to her, explaining that it's why they were nervous near the pool. Sayaka accepts them quickly, and tells them that she'll be with them when the secrets are revealed.

An hour before the secrets are revealed, Sayaka hangs out with Chihiro, with Chihiro coming with her to chill by the pool to calm down before the revelation. Sayaka lets Chihiro enter the woman's room with her, where they find Aoi and Sakura inside, who had a similar idea. However, when they enter the pool, they are mortified to find Hifumi's body, drowned in the pool.

The investigation comes together quickly, with lots of evidence being found.

In the trial, Sayaka fights with Taka for control of the conversation, as he refuses to believe some stuff could've happened, since they violate the school rules, like how swimming in midnight is disallowed.

Despite this, Sayaka gets help from Yasuhiro and Chihiro, as Taka and Mondo try and disprove them.

Finally, Sayaka manages to get together the scene.

The culprit killed Hifumi by sticking his head into the water at midnight, making him bypass the rules, and get poisoned by poison that Monokuma released into the water to help the culprit.

The only reason for Monokuma to help the culprit, Sayaka realizes, is because the culprit was the traitor, though she can't figure out who the traitor could possibly be.

However, just when everyone's about to give up, the traitor reveals themselves as Yasuhiro Hagakure.

Yasuhiro reveals that the mastermind told him that if he didn't take the Traitor role, his mother would be tortured and killed.

Despite mostly everyone claiming he doesn't deserve this, Yasuhiro willingly goes into his execution, with him being stuck inside a giant crystal ball as he is rolled inside a giant pinball table, only for the ball to drop below the flippers, shattering the ball on impact.

After the trial, Sayaka worries that Chihiro would die next, after feeling betrayed by both Makoto and Yasuhiro, and tells them to leave her alone so they'd be safe.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 3:

When the next day starts, Sayaka refuses to hear out anyone who comes to talk with her, disappointing Chihiro and Aoi, who have gotten close to her.

When Sayaka believes no one will be in the kitchen, she exits her room, attempting to get snacks she can eat alone, but she's caught by Celeste and Byakuya, who both had a similar, if more sophisticated idea.

The two of them disgust her by the way they talk about the rest of the group, convincing her by accident that she shouldn't stick away from her friends, and shouldn't be like them.

Sayaka reconnects with Chihiro and Aoi, and the trio, together with Sakura and Leon, train together.

In the meanwhile, Taka and Mondo are talking together about how they can stop new murders from occurring. Taka proposes that they start enforcing the rules themselves, but Mondo is worried that his new bud is taking this too far, though Taka tells him that now that they know that traitors are a thing, and that there's a mastermind, they can't trust anybody except each other. Taka is especially paranoid about Sayaka, as he finds the fact that a pop star is so helpful in the trials suspicious.

Before falling asleep, Monokuma announces the Million Yen motive.

The following night, Aoi wakes up in the middle of the night and is scared by a light she believes to be a ghost, but the following morning, when the group comes together to check it out, they find it's a laptop with Chihiro's face on the screen.

The laptop calls themselves Alter Ego, claiming that Chihiro created them, despite them having no memory of that. Chihiro is still excited, as a laptop being here gives them a chance to be useful to everyone, as everyone excitedly discusses the find, Taka seems to weirdly disappear from the crowd, which is noticed by Sayaka and Mondo, with Mondo telling her that he'll go handle it.

While she's focused on Taka and Mondo, Sayaka suddenly notices that the room's gone quiet, and Chihiro's hanging onto her. Apparently, while she noticed Taka disappearing, she didn't notice Alter Ego accidentally outing Chihiro's identity.

Sayaka and Chihiro exit quickly upon her realizing this, leaving the laptop behind, and as everyone looks at Chihiro, someone takes the laptop for themselves.

The next day, Aoi, Sakura and Leon approach Chihiro, who Sayaka quickly defends, but they explain that they're fine with it, but that the laptop has disappeared overnight from the spa lockers.

Sayaka and Chihiro go together with Sakura to look for it back at the sauna, while Leon and Aoi go search for it elsewhere.

The trio can't find it in the sauna, so they go out, but the moment they leave, a body discovery alarm rings out, the group runs, looking for the body, before seeing Taka, Mondo and Kyoko stand above the body of Leon Kuwata.

The trio is worried, as they just saw him with Aoi, and Sakura leaves to go check on her friend, only for her to stand in shock in the doorframe to the craft room, and as Sayaka and Chihiro approach her, they glimpse another horrifying sight.

They find the bruised dead body of Celestia Ludenberg. And next to her, they find a beaten up, but alive, Aoi.

The investigation goes weirdly, with two bodies to search, some cannot handle it, but people like Sayaka, Kyoko and Byakuya are found to be very helpful, while Sakura helps Aoi get up, though she doesn't seem to remember who killed either of them.

In the trial, Byakuya is quick to blame Aoi, but she is proven to not have been able to kill Leon.

The trial ends up leading to the conclusion that Celeste was the one who killed Leon, but they still don't know who killed Celeste.

However, Sayaka comes to a realization, and explains the whole story.

Celeste stole Alter Ego in order to get someone to follow her into an empty classroom, which sadly ended up being Leon, as she killed him quickly. However, someone was near Leon when he was killed, the culprit fought with Celeste, attempting to knock her out so that they can find the killer easily, however, Celeste has gotten a lucky strike, headbutting back against the culprit's headbutt, with the culprit being thrown back knocked out onto the floor, while Celeste was thrown backwards quickly into the corner of a table, killing her instantly.

The person who killed Leon was Celeste, but the person who killed Celeste was Aoi Asahina, despite her not knowing that she did at all.

Sakura attempts to hold onto Aoi, and is dragged alongside her into her execution, where Aoi is dragged deeper and deeper underwater, and Sakura attempts to pull her up, but loses grip of Aoi, as she floats above the water just before sustaining brain damage, as robot sharks chomp on Aoi, leaving Sakura surrounded by her blood.

The group convinces Monokuma to help Sakura, as she wasn't supposed to be executed, and as she's taken away to the infirmary, Kyoko reveals to Sayaka and Chihiro that she found the key to Celeste's locker on her person, giving the key to Chihiro as everyone leaves.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 4:

After that trial, the group is disconnected from each other, and no one is able to get a good night's sleep.

At night Sayaka slowly awakens to a masked figure standing above her bed with a knife, only for her to blink and for them to be replaced with Kyoko standing above her.

In the morning, Sayaka takes time to think about the people they lost, and is worried that Chihiro may be next, as Aoi was also one of her close friends, but she decides to have faith in them, and exits the room optimistically.

Unsurprisingly, everyone in the dining hall is still pretty paranoid, however, surprisingly, with the exception of Sakura, everybody's eating together, as Sayaka joins them.

The group, weirdly united, all visit Sakura together, though some are more reluctant than others (Byakuya and Taka). Sakura is still unconscious, but she's breathing, which is all that's important, Sayaka volunteers to watch over her while she's healing for the day, being joined by Chihiro and Kyoko, who seems oddly protective over Sayaka.

While they're protecting Sakura, Kyoko asks Chihiro about their advances with Alter Ego, and Chihiro reveals that they weren't able to find much yet, but they believe that they'll be able to find some school documents soon.

The trio are soon replaced by Taka and Mondo, who come to take a turn protecting Sakura.

Chihiro and Kyoko leave quickly, heading to their rooms as it's late, but Sayaka decides to confront Taka about leaving when they found Alter Ego, ignoring Mondo's obvious signs to not mention it.

Taka ends up accusing Sayaka and Chihiro of making the killing game, with Sayaka yelling at him back, while Mondo attempts to separate them. Taka claims that there's no reason for the mastermind to just leave them a tool like Alter Ego, and that Chihiro left it there to give them false hope.

Sayaka can't believe what she's hearing, and berates Taka for giving into despair so quickly, to which he has no response, and berates Mondo for telling him nothing about it, leaving them alone in anger.

Next morning, Sayaka goes to breakfast ready to make amends with Taka, only to be knocked out with chloroform immediately upon entering the dining room.

Next to her, Sayaka finds herself tied to a chair in the dining room, alongside everyone else, where Taka and Mondo (Mondo visibly uncomfortable) tell them about the new School Orders.

Taka presents everyone with incredibly restricting rules, with the most important one being that Chihiro and Sayaka are not disallowed to access Alter Ego. The group is very upset with Taka, but he yells at them that it's for their safety, and that they'll thank him someday.

He only lets everyone go after they all agree to his rules, and with no one being able to fight it, since Mondo's his bodyguard, they all begrudgingly accept. Sayaka notices that for most of this conversation, Toko has been really out of it, almost forgetting to accept herself, but Taka requires that everyone would go to a room with a buddy, so Sayaka doesn't get to ask her about it.

Sayaka is thrown into her room together with Chihiro, where they're brought meals by Mondo. Sayaka yells at Mondo for going along with Taka, but Mondo refuses to accept his bro's in the wrong, and leaves them alone.

At night, Sayaka and Chihiro go on a mission to rescue Alter Ego from Chihiro's room, however, when they exit Sayaka's room, they're appalled by a disturbing sight.

Kyoko Kirigiri, her throat ruptured, dead. The body alarm rings out, and when Taka realizes that they saw the body, he gets mad at them for leaving their room, but the group has enough of this, and Mondo holds onto him while they investigate the body.

In the trial, Taka immediately blames Sayaka and Chihiro, saying that if they dared to break his rules, they could definitely kill Kyoko, however, since the body alarm only rings after 3 people see the body, they figure it's impossible for either of them to be the first to kill her.

During the trial, Mondo finally snaps at Taka, yelling at him for overcomplicating things, and destroying their chances at escape by destroying Alter Ego, which everyone else discovers for the first time in the trial.

While all this mayhem occurs, Sayaka manages to piece together the crime.

Kyoko shared a room with the culprit because of Taka's rules, but Kyoko decided to approach and confront Taka alone in the hallway. While they were talking in the hallway, the culprit tried to seize their chance to kill Taka, believing him to be separating them from their beloved. The killer threw scissors from their own alter ego, attempting to pierce Taka's face, however, Kyoko ended up moving, accidentally protecting Taka, as her neck was punctured by the scissors, Taka, who didn't get to see the culprit, ran to his room quickly, fearing for his life, where he was confronted by Mondo. Meanwhile, the killer turned into their alter ego upon glimpsing the blood. The alter ego was annoyed by the culprit killing a girl, and, not knowing the rules of the killing game, pulled out the scissors to remove themselves from the crime scene.

After all, the killer was none other than Toko Fukawa, also known as Genocider Jack.

Toko attempts to defend herself, but it becomes really clear that she did it.

Before her execution can begin, Toko turns into Jack, claiming that it was all for her beloved Byakuya, and attempts to stab him, only to pulled into her execution. Toko/Jack are displayed in the pose that jack leaves her victims, then are engulfed by a storm of paper that leaves Toko riddled with paper cuts.

Byakuya is left stunned, being seconds away from death, while everyone else is mad at Taka for destroying Alter Ego. Taka tries to rely on Mondo to back him up, but Mondo berates him for running away, telling him that the Taka he became friends with was braver than that, leaving him alone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 5:

The following morning, the group goes to investigate the new floor without Taka, hoping to find a way to escape. They don't manage to find anything interesting beyond a door with Monokuma's face on it, which they can't open.

Despite the chaos yesterday, the group is fairly united, Sakura finally wakes up, learning what happened earlier.

No one talks to Taka for the next two days, with Mondo outright refusing to talk to him, calling him a coward.

Two days later, Sayaka is surprised by Taka at her door. She lets him inside, where he apologizes, telling her that he realized that Mondo was right about him, he turned into a coward, and that he's the reason that Kyoko died.

He asks her to help him make amends with everyone, which she accepts, on the condition that he admits to everyone that he was wrong.

Sayaka tells everyone to meet in the garden, which everyone agrees to hesitantly.

While going to the garden, the group find that Taka is standing outside the garden, shocked, and as they enter the garden, everyone notices that a dead body is laying there.

Taka breathes a sigh of relief, since it can't be any of them, but everyone is confused about the identity of the victim.

While trying to investigate, Mondo is blown back, as the body explodes.

In the trial, all the evidence seems to point to Taka, but Sayaka knows it isn't true, and lies to cover for him. However, because of that, all the evidence points to her, and she is voted the culprit, being sent into an execution.

In the execution, she's standing on a concert platform as fire begins to rise, however, just before it engulfs her, Alter Ego appears on a screen behind her, using the chains used to bring people to their executions to drag her out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 6:

Sayaka finds herself in the trash heap under the school, where she's rescued by Chihiro and Taka, who joined forces to rescue her.

After exiting the trash heap, the trio accuse Monokuma of creating a false trial to get rid of Sayaka, and he agrees to give them one final trial, where if they can realize the truth of the killing game, then everyone remaining can escape together.

Sayaka, Chihiro, Taka, Mondo, Byakuya and Sakura all team up to search around the school, finding Jin Kirigiri's skull in a gift, which Monokuma admits was meant for Kyoko.

In the trial, the group realizes something interesting. All of the cases happened because someone tried to kill someone else for one reason or another, however, there's one case where the killer didn't try to kill.

Sayaka realizes that Makoto is the only killer who was forced to kill by his victim, and that the reason for that was that the mastermind was none other than Mukuro Ikusaba.

Mukuro comes out and admits that she was the one who started the killing game, after learning from fenrir that humanity is useless, and despair would overcome every time.

She explains that she made Makoto be the first killer because she wanted him to feel the despair she adored, and was planning to save him from his execution so that they could view the game together, but he didn't succumb to despair, so she executed him to feel the despair herself.

The group ends up beating her with hope, which ends with her being so annoyed that she lets them leave, but she promises that she will be back, and that they will fall into despair, just like the rest of the world, and with that, she disappears, leaving Sayaka with the remote to let her leave.

The group, consisting of Sayaka, Chihiro, Taka, Mondo, Byakuya and Sakura, all leave together, to find hope in an hopeless world.
