F26 - I’ve been told that i look like my to be husband’s mother and i feel WEIRD

I’ve been with my boyfriend with about 3 years now and we are getting married. We have a very stable happy relationship and we get along very well. Our respective future in laws love us too and overall everything is great.

EXCEPT one thing. A LOT of people have said that i resemble my boyfriend’s mother. And by a lot, i mean a LOT. I recently went for my boyfriend’s cousin’s wedding and all of his extended family were there. 8/10 people said that you guys look so alike. My future MIL loves me and doesn’t see a problem with it. She says things like perhaps in my previous life you were my daughter, she LOVES me but I find it so weird that i look like her.

Are my feelings valid. I have a perfectly health relationship with my boyfriend and his parents. His mom is the sweetest person ever but this statement really bothers me. Not because she isn’t good looking. She is extremely beautiful. But I DONT wanna resemble my to be husband’s mother ffs.
