[Event] As 284 Ends: House Hunter and Longbow Hall
The castle of Longbow Hall stood on the highest hill in the eastern highlands of the Vale. A somewhat confusing moniker, the castle was named for the First Men ruins in the heart of the castle’s yard, the aforementioned “hall” built by some long dead line of kings.
Nestled up to the walls on all sides of the modest castle and spreading down the sides of the hill and into the valleys beyond was the town of Longbow Hall. The buildings were uniformly built from the stones quarried in the eastern Vale and carried down the rivers on barges, while the roofs were created from a wide variety of thatch, stone, sticks, and even some Essosi clay tiles.
The town featured a thriving makers area, market squares, warehouses, food stalls, and it was common to see landed knights and petty lords arriving with their retinues to petition Lord Hunter, hawk their wares, or pay their taxes.
Similarly, pilgrims from around the Vale and beyond arrived at Longbow Hall to see the Seven Septs, a plaza with small stone places of worship dedicated to each of the Gods. The project had been financed by Lord Eon Hunter, but the family legend says the plaza had been sanctified by the first Hunter Kings during the Andal Invasion (almost certainly not true).
All around the castle and surrounding town, the family and guests of House Hunter attended their duties.
