Saros 10R (for noise) vs 10 (for plumbing connection and white finish)
I live in a noise sensitive household. Reviews seem to lightly indicate that the 10R might be quieter due to the rotating mop as opposed to the 10's vibrarise system. On the other hand, I am a huge fan of the idea of having the hard water supply and drain connection for truly hands-off cleaning...
For context on our motivations here: we presently have an S8 Pro Ultra that we run once or twice a day (dogs and a toddler will do that!) but it causes some friction with my partner who absolutely cannot stand the noise. I just can't quite understand if the additional noise of the 10 in is only in intense mopping mode, which I guess we would not use on a regular basis, or if the advantage is pronounced in all modes. It also seems that the 10 has a few whiz-bang features that the 10r misses, like being able to stop the suction motor when approaching a spill. Also, for what it's worth, the white design available in the 10 is a huge upside over the mirrored finish on the black units. There's not a shiny surface in my house that doesn't have toddler prints all over it so a white matte finish is the way to go here.
The technologist and engineer in me would choose the 10R any day of the week just to have the solid state system and potential for future improvements in object detection.
Netting this out: I think noise is actually the most important consideration, but only if it is significant in a day-to-day usage scenario. And there just isn't enough detail on this in most comparison reviews to really know if it's a real differentiator between the two.
What would you do if you were me?
