Am I crazy for thinking the Red Line feels pretty unsafe?
I take the redline from Shady Grove to DC and back 5 days a week. There’s so much turbulence (for lack a better word) at really high speeds that the train actually feels unsafe. I look around and nobody else seems to be experiencing what I am. Whenever the train is moving slowly or stopped for whatever reason, you can look down and see how messed up the tracks are.
It’s obviously possible that I’m just being a baby about this as I’m definitely prone to nervousness about this sort of thing, but man… some of these train rides are pretty scary.
P.S. are the trains manually operated? It feels like each train ride is slightly different with some drives definitely going faster than others.
