Microfiber explosion… help!

Hello! I’m making this post on behalf of my best friend since she doesn’t have a Reddit. Yesterday in her boyfriend’s apartment he was removing the mattress cover to clean it and unfortunately underneath was a ton of microfiber from the mattress. Right now the apartment is covered, it’s in the air, it’s on clothes, it’s in the washer and dryer, and the room the mattress was in is ruined. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to clean all the tiny particles and how to do it safely. Any and all advice is appreciated!
