PS5 linked to Microsoft Account issue

Can someone explain this to me please? I am trying to log into the PS5 by using a Microsoft account for my kid. The Microsoft account is brand new, not linked to anything.

And yet when I try to link it says it is already connected to another PSN Account. What on earth does that mean? I literally just made the account.

Any help would be appreciated.
