How are the 2020/2021 era Rangers?

I currently have a Mazda CX-5 I'd been planning to drive forever, but am interested in getting a sailboat that is going to push the towing capacity limit. After towing my dad's small camper a few miles, it felt real sketchy, which has me contemplating truck options... Looking around at the market, earlier used Ranger's seem like a decent value compared to the other options (except maybe a Nissan Titan).

I'm also hearing some rumblings about the transmission on these. I'm looking at either an XTL with tech package or Lariat, probably 2020 or 2021, seem to be in the low to mid $30k range. I don't drvie a lot (maybe 3000 miles a year, mostly city) and would be towing maybe 2000 - 3000lb.

Are these going to be decently reliable and easy to live with as a daily driver?
