Possible to sell a mower engine?

I’ve got an old cub cadet zero turn with a terribly worn transmission, it is basically useless now. I had hopes of selling the mower after fixing up the deck but after realizing how bad the transmission was there is no way. Is it reasonable to pull the engine and sell it? Or would nobody bite?
