I get the vision, but cant help the feeling

I was watching the final season with my dad, as this is our favorite serie, for me just a bit above Dexter. But this season really made me think and it doesnt sit right with me. I feel like Joe got nerfed, normally on first Interaction, especially girls he likes aka bronte, he searches them on internet, now that the internet is bigger, i thought he would use that to his advantage, but he just got lazy, should have already figured out that Clayton was dr Nicky's son, because that is what he does. He almost never goes in blind, and this season he was blind in every moment. He fell for bronte 3 times, and never really did a background check, once on bronte herself but didnt find anything, not her friends, not her past life, even after finding out her name is Louise, he never ever did research on Clayton, which is stupid, because he always knew everyone so he could interact with them, and make them like him. Also the final episode is just not it, penn did a phenomenal job as joe, and i know he loves the ending, but i dont. Yes he should end in prison for being a serial killer, but where is his mom this season, no flashback, no new info, just 1 mention, no trial. And they act like we should have no remorse for Joe, but that is what they did themselves to us, with giving his backstory, and making us feel for him. And now they just ruined a good show and a great main character. And i can go on with how bronte and Kate survived, but i dont want to sound like a hater, but it felt like a parody, the last episode is just a mini horror movie featuring joe Goldberg.
