🏗️ Construction – Thinking About a Reverse Job Board for Our Industry. Thoughts?

I’m someone who’s been in the construction industry for a while now, and I’ve noticed a big problem: it’s hard for skilled tradespeople to find jobs. Traditional job boards don’t really help, so they miss out on great opportunities and projects get delayed.

So, I’ve got an idea. I’m thinking of creating a special job board just for the construction industry. Here’s how it would work:

• For skilled tradespeople, you’d make a profile that shows off your skills, certifications, experience, and when you’re free. Instead of looking through a bunch of job postings, employers would come to you with jobs that match what you’re good at.
• For employers, you’d get a list of qualified professionals who are ready to work on projects. You could filter candidates based on what skills they have, certifications they have, and when they’re free to work. That way, you can find the perfect person for your project.

Why would this work?

• - It would save time by connecting employers with the right people right away.
• - It would be clear what each candidate knows and when they’re available, so you wouldn’t have to guess.
• - It would give tradespeople more control over their jobs, so they could choose projects that they’re good at and that fit their schedule.
