My second semester academically always is worse than the first semester
Hello all, I’m currently a freshmen in college. When I started classes this fall I was super locked in, no distractions, good habits, etc. over time during the fall sem my habits worsened but I still made it through successfully. Than winter break was spent unproductive, and when the spring sem rolled around, my habits were shite and never recovered. I’m talking terrible screen time, procrastination, not able to follow routines or be as motivated and disciplined as the first sem.
And this isn’t the first time this has happened either. During high school freshmen year, I was also super locked in first semester. Then second sem rolls around and I’m back knee deep in bad habits.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can overcome this for future semesters, and how I can get out of my current rut?
I really feel awful about my bad habits but I’m so knee deep in them i just feel trapped. And now the semester is coming to an end the guilt is weighing heavily on my shoulders, adding to the stress of finals season.
