Idea validation

My co-founder and I are currently working on our MVP. We are aiming at releasing our app in 3 months. I have started doing market validation, but I am not sure how hard to push on this front just yet. Should I try to maximise our reach now already (post on public groups, etc) or stick to one on one conversations with selected users until we are a bit closer to our release date?
