Question about Halogen to Led Conversion

I just got my hands on my dad's 2004 mitsubishi adventure and the first thing i wanted to tackle was the taillights, but the thing is, last time my dad switched out the halogens to leds all of them stopped working after a while. So my question is do I have to place load resistors in between all of them including the reverse and brake lights, or only the hazard blinkers?
