need advice about anaesthesia and catheters with trauma
hello! sorry in advance if i do anything wrong with posting, im not much of a redditor and don’t post much at all. i have extensive sexual trauma (that i will not get into) and have been suffering from it for a very long time. i also have multiple chronic conditions and many unexplained medical issues, so am currently having a lot of exploratory procedures and testing done. i am extremely worried about how i will react to anaesthetic and catheters, as just the thought of that sort of thing gives me panic attacks and flashbacks. i’ve been pushing back the procedures/taking medication to try to calm myself beforehand, but i always end up panicking anyway before anything even happens. i had an endoscopy a bit ago (which did not require catheter and i was allowed to wear my own bottom garments during) and it went extremely bad, and im just making myself more worried thinking about this so much lol. i can’t put off everything for much longer as my physical health is not getting better, but i really dont know how i will deal. any advice would be extremely appreciated!! <3
