To start off, it was a wonderful experience and my family and I had a great day. We went to epic on Friday May 2nd. It was very hot And Sunny so pack your sunscreen.

We got there after 11 because somehow we ended up at the team member parking lot and had to find our way to the guest lot. After we found it parking was easy, but don’t be like us and forget to jot down your aisle.

Walking in was an exciting new experience. My toddler (20months) was in the wagon stroller and loving the view. He’s gone to the other parks four times and enjoys it every time. We just kinda walked around Celestial Park for a bit looking around and orienting ourselves. My husband didn’t want to use the map on the app so we could just be lost in it lol.

We then headed over to what ended up being our favorite land: Isle of Berk. The theming was so cool and our little one was just loving all the dragons, especially the ice one and the dragon benches. I personally don’t really even like the movies and I still found this area amazing. We immediately got the Mac and cheese cones. They were just ok. I got the goldfish one and my husband got the pb&j so we tried both. I liked the bread it came in a lot tho. I also got the strawberry lime cider and that was great. We rode Fyre Drill and wow was that fun and so interactive. Like we were laughing the whole time. Toddler got squirted instantly and hid his head in my side but I’m sure he’ll like it next summer. We then went to the play ground and that was a big hit. He liked it better than the JP one in islands. We rode Hiccups Winged Gliders later on and it was so fun! I liked it more than Hagrids! There’s not much leg space so keep that in mind when tightening your seat. I’m only 5’4” and was cramped. The child swap for this ride was just ok.

Next we went to Dark Universe. I loved the theming but my husband thought it was lacking. The queue for Monsters Unchained was unmatched. We all loved it. We had to pry the little one away from the Frankensteins monster animatronic. The child swap was awesome. It was large, cool, and had a bathroom! The ride was totally just different. My husband rode it 3 times and I rode it twice. The second time I rode it I got stuck right at the end when Dracula is above you! So glad I got stuck in a comfortable position lol. I was hoping to get a pass for it but didn’t. I wasn’t expecting to since it’s still in rehearsal. I didn’t ride the Curse of the Werewolf. My husband said it wasn’t worth waiting 5 minutes let alone longer. I don’t like spinning anyways. We had garlic stakes and I liked it but not the sauce. At night this place really is cool and we stayed here until close.

Then we went to Paris. It was beautiful and so many spells to cast. We got our wand fixed at Cosme and they were so nice. We wanted a second gen wand but they look so lame so we’re waiting for new styles but got ANOTHER dang Niffler lol. We didn’t get to ride the Ministry ride. We tried and tried but to no avail. We waited in line for a bit for the show there but it was nap time and we just could not stand there in line. Later on we had dinner at Cafe Lair De La Sirene and it was beautiful in there. The food was good, husband said the best in all the parks. In the end, this was definitely my third favorite Harry Potter area and sadly least favorite place in Epic.

Stardust Racers is an absolute great time. I even liked the standard line. Like you know you’re about to go on a raw coaster lol. I rode yellow side. My husband did both sides. He said it was better than Velocicoaster. I beg to differ but I’m a big JP fan. We got these tiny pinkish purple drinks at the bar and they were great and packed a punch. I really meant to go on the carousel but I was so dehydrated and tired I could not spin lol.

Super Mario land was just wow. I got emotional walking in the castle and hearing the music. I felt like I could’ve jumped through the pictures. I felt like a weirdo crying but it was just so great and nostalgic. We didn’t ride anything here and I’m ok with that. Just walking around was enough. My child was running around like a crazy person. It’s going to be so fun when he’s bigger and can do the power band stuff and rides. He’s only 31 in so he can’t do much yet. But I really can’t wait to go back and actually ride everything.

I’ve never written a review like this so sorry if it sucks but it was a great time and I highly recommend you go especially if you’re a Mario or HTTYD fan. Still kinda pissed they opened up the preview to everyone because I wouldn’t gotten to ride more if the waits weren’t so long but it’s whatever now. I went, I saw, I had a great time.
