And so it starts--C-day is tomorrow (Monday)

Worry - Anxiety

68F here, getting my 2nd colonoscopy in 10 years. Last time I did no sedation, which was not terrible, as Versed has given me problems in the past. The nurse told me they no longer use that ("oh, that's terrible stuff!") and I'm leaning towards going with Propofol if they think it'll clear pretty fast. That's the main thing spiking my anxiety (along with needing to poop at the office with a waiting room of folks who also need a bathroom).

Prep: split dose Miralax, 2 Dulcolax last night, gas-x after the first round of prep this evening at 6:00 pm, Pepcid if nauseated. 2nd round at 3:00 am (!!!). I've been on a low residue diet for 4 days. Stocked up with clear cherry gatorade for the prep, white cranberry juice, coconut water (no coconut meat in it), ginger ale, Lindy lemon ice, pineapple jello, yellow and white gummy bears, Better than Bullion chicken broth (I'll strain that). ETA: I thought I'd stocked up on gatorade but only have 2 bottles-not sure how that happened--so husband is making a grocery store run.

Plan: got the guest room bathroom clean and organized with wipes, Vaseline, place to set kindle and ipad if I'm there for the duration. Easy chair and side table near the bathroom. I'm planning to sleep in the guest room, wearing generic depends just in case. Got my "loose comfortable clothing" set out. Shower and hair washing will be before I start this evening's prep, with another shower in the morning. Working on ways to keep my big jug-o-prep cold without going back and forth downstairs to the fridge.

The instructions don't say but I'm guessing I shouldn't wear my contacts.

So far, the Dulcolax has my stomach churning so hunger isn't a thing.

Man, I miss my vegetables!

24 hours from now, it'll all be over...
