is bigger labia abnormal?

i have bigger labia minora and they dangle a bit, i have always been self conscious of it. my friend recently had rougher sex and was worried because her inner lips became swollen and were sticking out and she just kept telling me that she never has anything sticking out and how bad and abnormal it looks. i already feel like my vulva/labia is ugly and this kinda reinforced it. i just told her it would go back to normal eventually. thoughts?
