Going out on my own next year

I'm in the process of getting everything lined up before putting the word out. I'm getting hung up on a name choice. I've decided on a name that is not currently registered in my city, but two hours SW of here, an HVAC / Electrical outfit is using the name. It's a fairly generic name, just sounds cool and sticks in your head. They don't claim to operate in my city or area. It looks like I'd be able to register the name no problem.

What are the chances the company would take issue with it? Would you pick a name knowing a company two hours south also uses it? Instead of "X" Electrical, I would do "X" Home Systems or something like that. There shouldn't be any confusion for SEO purposes.

It's kind of hard to come up with something totally unique that also clicks with an audience. There's a reason names are chosen repeatedly.
