Why do people say that not wearing a bra will sag my boobs?

Hey guys so breasts have always been small so I've mostly never wore a bra in my day to day life. But today I went to buy one, I told the saleslady I've never wore one, and she said that I need to wear one otherwise my boobs will sag!!! How true is this? I don't feel comfortable wearing a bra at all.
