Does anybody care about Oregon State University shutting down Open Source Lab?

Recently somebody on this sub posted a link to an article which also included the link to the official blog post from OSU. At first I thought that many linux users will notice that. As a result the post that was made here got something like 60 upvotes in 2 days and I didn't notice anybody talking about that on Youtube.

Judging by the blog post the problem is so critical that we will switch back to windows if we won't solve it. Am I overreacting?
