Decision help! buy the Lumix gx9 or Fuji X-M5 for same price of around $600?
So, I've been shopping for a camera and I want a compact ibis camera which landed me on the lumix gx9 which I found on ebay for around $610. Then I found a x-m5 for $600 at a local camera shop.
Comparing both cameras: I like the compactness, lens availability and ibis of the gx9. I know people love the Gx85/9 and I generally think I can't go wrong with it. Unfortunately, it's already a 7 year old camera, I worry a bit about the low-light performance, and I don't know the future of MFT considering that lumix seems to have abandoned it and that only really leaves OM systems.
I'm considering the X-M5 now since I found it for the same price. I like it for its larger sensor which would be better for low light (I want to explore astro) and dynamic range and it's newer tech. That's about it. I originally wasn't even considering it until I found it for cheap. I feel like x mount lenses are more expensive so thats a downside.
Ultimately I'm having a hard time making a decision. I just wish I could find the gx9 for cheaper lol and then it wouldn't be a question.
Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance!
