This was my first Laurence King puzzle, and I'll admit I had some trepidation due to some [previous discussion](https://www.reddit.com/r/Jigsawpuzzles/comments/sfllly/comparison_photos_of_various_laurence_king/) I'd read about Laurence King puzzles manufactured in China vs. the Netherlands. This particular puzzle was manufactured in Suzhou, China, like the Freddie Mercury puzzle discussed in the linked post. I was expecting a cheap white backing and two-in two-out (which I always vehemently avoid). I had already purchased this puzzle though prior to encountering that post, because I love Freddie and Queen. I stumbled across it when I was looking for another puzzle, and realized it fit this month's theme, so decided what the heck.

Boy was I pleasantly surprised by the quality! The Suzhou plant must have made vast improvements between 2021 and 2024. As you can see from my high quality photography (/s) in the third pic, the backing is the typical beige cardboard type (not sure the technical term here) and the cut is a great variety, no two-in two-out to be found here! I honestly can't say enough good things about the cut. It's a grid cut with lots of variation in the shapes, but there's a waviness to it that gives it a characteristic of approaching random cut that just hits a real sweet spot for me.

Other notes, the print quality was great, almost no puzzle dust, nice matte finish, and it came with a very large poster. I personally find the large poster not useful while building, but the box top was perfectly sufficient and others might enjoy the poster as it's very nice quality. No false fits whatsoever, all pieces accounted for.

I loved the artwork on this, it was just super fun for me as a fan of Freddie and Queen. Lots of little fun details to be found about Freddie's music, collaborations, life, and cats! It was a little challenging to start as I wasn't totally sure how to begin sorting, but once I got a few key sections going it was a really nice pace and I got it done in two days.

I generally am drawn to Laurence King Publishing's artwork and I most certainly will be getting more of their puzzles! The Netherlands vs. China hesitation won't be a deterrent for me going forward after this.
