From Overwhelmed Airbnb Host to Building an AI Property Manager: My Journey

Hi everyone,I'm a full-time software engineer who ventured into Airbnb hosting a year ago. Initially, I managed my property myself using tools like Lodgify and Guesty, but I quickly realized that running a profitable Airbnb is a full-time job. The biggest challenges were:

1. Property maintenance
2. Guest communication
3. Coordinating with cleaners and maintenance crews

Balancing these tasks with my day job became overwhelming, so I hired a short-term rental manager. While she handles everything, her 25% commission has turned my Airbnb into a loss-making venture.I considered shutting it down, but with the recent AI hype and its potential, I decided to give it one last shot. I'm now developing an AI agent (hostworld.ai) to replace the property manager! I'm currently testing it on my own property and plan to open it up to a few others soon to see if it delivers the same value.
