Do you ever feel like we're being punked?

Sometimes, I seriously can't believe we live in a world where for centuries, most of the human population believes in invisible sky gods with absolutely no proof whatsoever. People kill over these gods. People make laws, betray family, waste time and money because of these literal fairytales.

I had doubts about Christianity for years, but once I started watching atheist debates on Youtube, listened to arguments from guys like Sam Harris, Matt Dilahunty, etc, I instantly recognized that whatever little belief I had left made no sene and became an atheist within weeks. Yet, people believe these things their entire life. It's truly incredible. How do you believe in illogical bullshit for decades and never consider why you believe it. Sometimes, I feel like cameras are about to come out and tell me I'm not crazy, it was all a prank tv show. But unfortunately, that never happens.
