will “butter” stain?

I was thinking of purchasing a bag in the colorway “butter” but was wondering if it would stain? Because I mostly wear black clothes and my gingham shoulder bag’s been stained on the side i hold it close to my body and when i washed it it didn’t come off :’) will the same happen to butter?
