Advice needed: is it rude to show only another artists work as reference?

There’s an artist whose work I am obsessed with, but she is all the way on the other side of the country from me. I use a local artist who I also love but her style is a bit different. Is it rude, and do you think my current artist would be offended, if I showed her a bunch of this other artists work as reference for a new tattoo request?
