What is your take on the open university?

I’m just wondering where other people’s stand on getting a degree from the OU? I’m about to start a degree at a university in London but heavily considered doing it via open uni due to the difference in costs.

However, when looking at google reviews they make the uni seem horrible and borderline useless. People saying there's a complete lack of communication between tutors and students. I've seen people say there aren't enough tutorials too.

Current or past students do you feel the difference in costs make this a worthwhile option or is it looked down upon when you get to applying for jobs/postgrad opportunities?
