Need Tips on Choosing Hair Color

Really wanna dye my hair a reddish-brown color. I have virgin black hair and want a wine red color without using bleach. Let me know if this is possible and if you have any other recommendations for hair colors that are a subtle red but at the same time you know it's red. I feel like this is a hard balance I'm trying to find. Also how long does this typically last and will it leave a residue if I try to dye my hair to a dark brown or black? And do you recommend using box dye to getting it done in a salon. Pls helpp 💖💖💖
