Rental dispute: Who is responsible for water leaking from the roof?

Hey everyone,

I am renting a relatively expensive apartment in Grand Baie (top floor of an apartment building). Today I noticed that some water is leaking from the roof. I am unsure about the source - it might be from the AC or the water heater on the roof - or something different.

According to the lease agreement, I am responsible for maintaining the apartment in good condition - basically "small maintenance work". And the landlord is responsible for any bigger maintenance work - especially structural issues.

I am now unsure in which category this issue falls and who is responsible to fix it (and pay for it).

Did anyone have a similar issue before? Any insights would be highly appreciated.
