Plot Summary:

She is a fiercely independent and kind-hearted woman in her mid-20s, working long hours at a small café while saving every penny to open her dream bakery. She has no family, only a recipe book from her late grandmother and the drive to make something sweet in a bitter world.

Enter him, a cold, enigmatic mafioso lord known for his ruthless tactics, sharp suits, and a past shrouded in blood and secrets. On the surface, he’s untouchable. But beneath, he’s a man haunted by betrayal, constantly watching his back and longing for something real—though he’d never admit it.

Their worlds collide one night when he walks into her café during a rainstorm to hide from a failed hit. Bleeding and desperate, he demands help—then promptly passes out. She, unaware of his identity, nurses him through the night. When he vanishes by morning, he leaves behind a bloodstained handkerchief and a burning memory.

Days later, he returns, intrigued by the only person who didn’t tremble at his name. He offers her a deal: a “mysterious benefactor” will fund her bakery—but she must never ask why. She refuses… until the café where she works is torched in a gang dispute she knows nothing about.

With her future in ashes, she reluctantly takes his offer and opens her dream bakery, unaware that it’s now sitting in the middle of disputed territory between two rival crime families. Meanwhile, he assigns one of his most trusted men to shadow her—ostensibly for her safety, but also to make sure she doesn’t uncover the truth.

As they are drawn together by circumstances, desire, and undeniable chemistry, secrets begin to surface: • The attack on him that brought him to her door was no accident—it was an inside betrayal. • Someone is using her bakery to pass messages… or weapons. • Her family history isn’t what she thought it was—and her grandmother may have once worked for his father.
