Recommendations for games... with demos

Hi! I'm the type of person that freezes when trying to decide on whether to buy a new game or not, because I know I'm very picky.

This is why I end up play free to play gachas, and honestly, I'd like to try something else.

Games I've liked:

• the fire emblem series, especially 3houses and 3hopes. I think the gameplay is quite unique, and I get attached to characters really easily.

• honkai star rail: yes, a gacha, my favourite one. I like the combat and animations.

• bg3: very tiring but very satisfying game. The UI put me off at first but I ended up liking the game anyway for the story and characters!

• rewinder: a very unknown title apparently since I never see it anywhere, but it's a simple point and click mystery with vibes that I really enjoyed.

-persona series: loved the vibes, I played 4, 5, tactica and I have strikers and 3 ongoing. The dungeons are kinda repetitive outside of 5 and the anime tropes can be pretty annoying

There's some more I've either played partly or watched playthroughs of, but these are my favourites. As you can see it is mostly japanese/chinese titles, as I tend to prefer the artstyle, but I'm not tying myself down to those.

Things I like in games:

• characters to get attached to: I tend to prefer having a cast of names characters over unnamed, faceless people, but that's not always necessary

• turn based/tactical: I generally get really overwhelmed by live combat, and I prefer to think about what I'm doing rather than mash buttons

• team building: mix and matching teammates is probably my favourite thing to do in games!

Things I don't like or don't feel up to playing:

• visual novels: I prefer good but short storytelling

• shooters, or generally live combat

• horror: I'm a scaredy cat

• busy UIs: it's overstimulating to my eyes so I usually prefer something cleaner, Persona 5 really popped off in that regard

I wouldn't mind something new, like strategy, mystery, puzzles, city builders, deck builders... anything really!

!! I am not expecting a game to have EVERYTHING I liked or listed! !!

So, do you guys have any recs? Thank you in advance!
